50 YEARS OF HOTEL EINDHOVEN

When visiting Hotel Eindhoven, one immediately sees: this hotel is located in a prime location. Over fifty years ago, Gerrit van der Valk already saw that this was a location with future prospects: on the A2, the main route to the south and on the E3 (now A67) towards Germany, at the exit to the center of Eindhoven. In 1974, the time had come: the family business opened Motel Eindhoven here. Cees and Wil Polman-Luiten, the third generation of Van der Valk, took over its management. From the start, it was an important location, as with ninety rooms and a restaurant, it was the largest motel of the Van der Valk family at that time. Especially as a stopover on the way to the holiday destination and within the region, the roadside restaurant was busy. Anyone who grew up in this region undoubtedly has a memory of this well-known hotel. Do you remember the former pond with fish at the reception?

 
Extensions 

Due to the great success since the opening, less than four years later, the first expansion operation started: a doubling of the number of rooms to 180. In addition, a sports center with an indoor swimming pool was built at the motel, where many children from Eindhoven and beyond learned to swim.

In the early nineties, Cees and Wil took a step back so that their son Rick could take over the daily management. Since then, a significant number of changes have been implemented. For example, a complete tower with 12 floors was added due to the major renovation in 2004.
In April 2013, the renovated congress center 040 Congress & Events opened. Since the opening of Motel Eindhoven, cooperation with businesses in the region has been very important. Close ties exist with organizations such as BrainPort, Genneper Parken, and BrabantSport. The congress center hosts many companies daily for their meetings, conferences, and events. 

KEEP DEVELOPING

Over the course of 50 years, Hotel Eindhoven has continued to grow and develop. A wonderful golden jubilee for this beautiful four-star hotel today. 263 rooms, three restaurants, a modern conference center, and a sports center. The management and its team look back on 50 wonderful years for Hotel Eindhoven, which is always evolving. Here's to many more beautiful years ahead!
