'ANTWERP IS TRULY A DELIGHTFUL CITY FOR EVERYONE TO VISIT'

Park Lane Antwerp was completed in a short period of time last year. There used to be a hotel on this location, which was later converted into a residential care center for the elderly. After Van der Valk purchased the property in the spring of 2024, a major renovation was necessary to turn it into a fully-fledged four-star hotel. And it turned out wonderfully well. Cas Polman and Lotte van Baak took on the challenge together in this second Van der Valk hotel in Antwerp. The enthusiastic couple made the move to the beloved Belgian city from Van der Valk Hotel Melle Osnabrück in Germany. “It's a great opportunity to be able to start here,” says Cas. "It all happened very quickly for us. We were still very busy in Melle with the renovation of the hotel rooms, among other things, when we moved here at the end of the summer. We followed the renovation and furnishing of Park Lane Antwerp from a distance in Germany, and it's really wonderful to see how well it turned out. There is now a brand-new, high-class hotel.
TOP LOCATION IN THE CENTER
Park Lane Antwerp has no fewer than 174 hotel rooms, ranging from luxury rooms to family rooms, Park Lane suites, and long-stay apartments. Many rooms and apartments overlook the green city park. Lotte explains, "The hotel is in a prime location next to the park, right in the center of town. The park reminds me a little of Central Park in New York, but smaller and quieter, with lots of water and benches. To be honest, we hadn't been to Antwerp very often before we came here, but it immediately felt right. The atmosphere in the cozy city center is really nice. There is so much to see and do; it's no surprise that Antwerp is popular for city trips. It's very easy to get to from the Netherlands, even by train. The hotel is within walking distance of the impressive Central Station, which is worth admiring in itself. And right behind the station is the famous Antwerp Zoo. I also always recommend a visit to the bird market and antique market on weekends.

LUXURY AND EXPERIENCE
'Whether you are here for shopping, culture, or business, Antwerp is truly a delightful city for everyone to visit,' says Cas. 'There is also a lot happening in the field of gastronomy, and we want to be at the forefront with our restaurant C'est Moi, offering good classic dishes with a new twist. Hotel bar Eleanor has truly become the heart of the hotel. A delightful place for an aperitif with luxury snacks and the best wines and cocktails. We aim for a four-star superior status, with a focus on luxury and experience. Service of the highest level in every aspect.'
ALL IN DETAIL
The bar was set high for the stylish decoration of the entire hotel. Valk Design has carefully thought out every detail in the interior. It was important that all choices matched the art-deco building. "For example, decorative moldings were restored, preserving the charm of the characteristic building," says Lotte. "In the interior, you will also see a lot of dark green marble, large chandeliers, and warm colors. This exudes luxury and class, with the welcoming feeling that you are used to at Van der Valk." With five rooms of different sizes, Park Lane Antwerp is also an excellent choice for a meeting or event. Additionally, there is a wellness area with a pool, jacuzzi, and sauna, as well as a fitness room. Cas says, "Here you can experience the luxury of a four-star hotel and have many attractions within walking distance. Add to that the coziness of Antwerp, and the picture for a delightful stay is complete."
