On Thursday, January 29, 2026, Van der Valk Hotel Groningen-Hoogkerk welcomed all its business relations for a festive opening on the occasion of the hotel's renovation. In a hospitable and festive setting, guests were welcomed to celebrate this special moment together.

The official opening act consisted of the symbolic cutting of the ribbon and was performed by the mayor of Tynaarlo, together with hotel owner Stijn Langebeek. After this official moment, the guests present were given ample opportunity to visit the new hotel rooms, (themed) suites, and the renovated halls.

With this renovation, Van der Valk Hotel Groningen-Hoogkerk has significantly enhanced its facilities. The hotel now features new hotel rooms and (theme) suites, supplemented by eight modern, multifunctional rooms suitable for both business and private meetings.
