'We have been producing artisanal wines for generations. Our company consists of nine wine families; these wineries together form Bodegas Vinotage. Each of these wine families has its own expertise, works according to its own method, and is fully responsible for the wine production of its own vineyard. However, there is cross-pollination when it comes to knowledge. We combine modern and more traditional techniques to create the finest wines. Our philosophy is to produce 100 percent natural and pure wines with respect for nature, without any additives. This is how we have always done it. The sustainability principle that everyone is talking about nowadays is in our DNA. We take very good care of our vineyards and do not use pesticides, which sets us far ahead. Bodegas Vinotage has always produced the now so popular organic and biodynamic wines.'
STRONG FAMILY BOND
"We are the official wine supplier at Van der Valk and we experience this collaboration as very pleasant. Just like Bodegas Vinotage, it is a family business. Both companies have a strong sense of family, which creates a special feeling of involvement. There is a similar dynamic where we understand each other well. We have even taken on the challenge together with Van der Valk to produce a delicious artisanal house wine Luna de Ana, named after my mother."

SMALL-SCALE
At Bodegas Vinotage, we aim to let the grapes grow as naturally as possible, without intervention. A healthy grape, especially from old vines, picked at the exact right moment after ripening, is also delicious to eat. And it is precisely those pure intense fruit tones and structure that we want to preserve when making our wines. Because we work on a small scale in our family wineries and make the wines with great care, we often handpick the grapes. Without wasting time, the grapes are pressed within 20 minutes, allowing us to avoid using chemical additives (sulfites). Here too, we strive to let the process proceed as naturally as possible with as little intervention as possible.
ATTENTION AND LOVE
"We have no ambition to become a large wine estate. It is precisely because of our small scale that we can focus well on the quality and innovation of our wines and cava. We pay incredible attention and love to the entire process of winemaking, which we believe is the only way. And without being a great wine expert, you can taste that too, because ultimately... the best sommelier is yourself."
