Chatwick brings specialty coffee and fresh pastries to Den Bosch

Behind Chatwick Coffee Roasters is the 26-year-old entrepreneur Thomas Chatwick from Hoogerheide. Together with his father and baker Alex, he started the first Chatwick branch in Breda three years ago. Chatwick now has multiple locations and you can also visit the heart of Den Bosch for their specialty coffee and fresh baked goods.

QUALITY FIRST

At Chatwick, everything revolves around quality. The coffee beans are selected and roasted in-house, focusing on taste, aroma, and balance. Every morning, owner Kyle calibrates the espresso to perfection. For the connoisseurs: 19.5 grams in, 41 grams out. For some, it clicks immediately; for others, it sounds quite technical, but what we can say is that the coffee has just the right balance. Smooth, full of flavor, and one you'll come back for.

Chatwick is one of the few specialty coffee bars in the Netherlands with its own Typhoon Coffee Roaster from Prague. This allows them to roast their beans entirely themselves.

OUR FAVORITES FROM THE MENU

The pastries here are certainly not secondary. We went for a fresh croissant, a strawberry Danish, an iced coffee, and an oat cappuccino. And honestly? All the positive stories about Chatwick turn out to be true.

The strawberry Danish was filled with a fresh cream filling and tasted just as you hope such a pastry would: fresh, creamy, and perfectly crispy. And the croissant, which you might think “nice and simple,” was perhaps one of the tastiest croissants we've ever had. Super airy, buttery, and just right.

The staff completed the experience. The baristas were very welcoming and ready to give advice on their products.

MINIMALISTIC, WARM AND PEACEFUL

The store in Den Bosch is modern and calmly decorated, exactly the kind of place that is accessible to everyone. With wood tones and beige colors, the store exudes tranquility. At the entrance, there's a small corner where products and their own coffee beans are sold for home.
