January 2025 - Restaurant PAARL, located at Van der Valk Hotel Sassenheim-Leiden, offers a unique experience with South African cuisine. The menu combines traditional flavors such as bobotie and braaivlees in a warm, cozy atmosphere. Enjoy the weekly 3-course Shared Dining Menu or a Sunday roast. PAARL is also the perfect venue for events, with catering options such as a braai for large groups. Whether you come for dinner or have a special occasion, PAARL is the ideal place for a unique culinary experience.

EnjoyTraditional South African farm-style cooking, the savory, traditional cuisine full of flavor and nostalgia. Taste homemade dishes such as Bobotie is a traditional South African dish made with spiced minced meat baked with an egg-based topping, barbecue meat, and experience the warmth, coziness, and culture of South Africa.

Every Friday and Saturday evening we serve at. PAARL A 3-course Shared Dining Menu for €47.50 per person. In addition, we also serve a 3-course Shared "Sunday Roast" every Sunday for €47.50 per person, from 3:00 pm to around 6:00 pm.

PAARL It is named after one of the oldest cities in South Africa, founded by Dutch settlers. The name refers to the sparkling Paarl Mountain, which surrounds the city and makes the valley shine.
